David James Klein

December 4, 1964 ~ January 12, 2012

David Klein, 47, of Marion, died at home on January 12, 2012, after a long illness. Private services will be held for the family. Survivors include his son, Ryan Klein; significant other, Dar Schnobrich; siblings, Julie (Roger) Sumner, Laurie (Terry) Lynch, Larry (Patty) Klein, Kim (Mark) Gard, Nancy (Kelly) Hoagland; step-mother, Violet Klein; two step-brothers, Jeffery Ness and Rick Ness; and many nieces and nephews. David was born December 4, 1964, the son of Oliver and Mary (Powers) Klein and lived in Marion most of his life. David enjoyed all sports, but deeply loved baseball and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in David's memory.

  1. Laurie and Family, I am surprised to hear of Daves passing…He just called my Dad a few days ago to express his sympathy in the loss of my brother, Mike on Sunday. We are experiencing the same loss as you are right now and my thoughts are with you all. I know Dave and Mike were good friends…now they are still be together.

  3. Julie, Laurie, Larry, Kim, Nancy and Vi, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of David. I remember running into him a couple of summers ago at Marion by Moonlight and dancing with him (he coerced me, ha). I imagine that he along with your Mom (Mary) your Dad (Ollie) and my Dad (Don) are up there having a grand time together and looking out for us.   4. Its been many years ago but I remember playing Babe Ruth baseball with Dave. He sure had a lot of talent back then. My sympathies to the Dave’s family.

  12. I still have a picture in my mind of my first glimpse of David. What a pretty baby he was. In the past few years Don and I had the opportunity to see David and he was very kind and loving to us. May God wrap his arms around all of you and give you comfort. Love, Aunt Evelyn.

  13. We have allot of great memories of running around playing hide and seek when we were kids. He was a wild and crazy one. Always one to make you laugh. He will be remembered.

  17. Thank you to everyone that wrote in this guestbook and also to those that sent their condolences in a variety of other ways. We had a very nice private family service for David. It is very sad to lose a brother at such a young age. However, we as a family have peace that David is with Mom and Dad, who he needed and missed terribly. God Bless David.
