Catherine Darling, 59, of Cedar Rapids, died January 20, 2018 at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City. A ceremony will be held on Mother's Day. Arrangements with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. She is survived by sons, Adam and Weston (Emily Carlson) Darling of Cedar Rapids, and Lucas (Brandy) Darling of Ankeny; grandchildren, Alex and Micah; and siblings, Theresa, Bill, Jim, and Joe Crawford. Catherine Jean was born to Russell and Lillian (Gatto) Crawford on August 29, 1958 in Cedar Rapids. She graduated with an Associate of Arts from Kirkwood College. Her life's crowning achievement was in raising three amazing sons. Catherine worked in photographic development, most recently at Photo Pro. She was preceded in death by her parents. We lost the most loving mother three boys could ask for. Mom, we lost you too soon, too young, but your suffering is now over. We will mourn our loss and cherish the memories. I know my heart will heal in time, but nothing can replace a mother's love for her children. Your boys have grown up into fine men, your influence, love, and memories eternal.
