Elaine Rossow

Elaine A. Rossow, 92, of Marion, peacefully went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 10, 2026, at Thomas Grove Assisted Living, surrounded by her family. Visitation: 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Marion Gospel Hall, Marion, Iowa. Burial will follow at Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan (Moses) Injeti and Linda (Dale) Schon; daughter-in-law, Chris Rossow; grandchildren, Chad (Cassie) Rossow, Supriya (Seth), Isaac (Hannah) Injeti, Sara Schon, Michael (Katherine) Schon, Daniel (Lilia) Schon, and Hannah (Tyler) Crawford-Schon; and four great grandchildren.

Elaine was born in Butler County, Iowa, on November 20,1933, the daughter of Dick and Froney (DeBuhr) Van Mill. She was born again on October 16, 1952, reading the Bible verse Romans 4:5. She married Don Rossow on September 17, 1956, and was married for 64 years until he passed away in 2020.

She was in fellowship at the Marion Gospel Hall.

Elaine worked at Linn Manor Care Center in Marion from even before it officially opened in 1979, until her retirement in 1999.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Douglas; parents, Dick and Froney Van Mill; sister, Helene Harmon; and brother, Richard Van Mill.

Our family would like to thank Suncrest Hospice, and Thomas Grove Assisted Living. We are grateful to Bri and her team for their gracious hospitality and care shown to our family while we were at Mom’s side.
