William "Bill" Sherron

William Arthur Sherron, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Rhode, Island, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Rhode Island. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family with arrangements.

William was born on January 13, 1943, in Rhode, Island, the son of William and Evelyn (Dower) Sherron. He was united in marriage to Rosalie Pratt on August 27, 1960, at the Central Baptist Church, Westerly, Rhode, Island.

William enjoyed attending yard sales, roller skating, riding horses, gardening, watching old westerns, collecting coins, and sports cards.

William is survived by his children, Rosemarie (Kenneth) Brimlow, Doreen (Michael) McHugh, and William (Teri) Sherron II; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister Elaine Grills.
