Geneva Devon Hurley, 88, of Lisbon, Iowa, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Harmony, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, Iowa, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Geneva was born on February 8, 1937, in Bethany, Missouri, the daughter of Beryl and Barbara (McLey) Lewis. She was united in marriage to Frederick Hurley Jr., on January 20, 1968.
Geneva served honorably in the United States Air Force as a supply clerk. She worked for many years as the bookkeeper at the family business, Fred’s Auto Repair. In her free time, Geneva loved reading and playing bingo. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Geneva had a special bond with granddaughter, Haley; they spent many days shopping and going out to eat.
Geneva is survived by her husband, Fred; children, Terry (Neil) Sherman; Bryan Mason, and Crystal (Al) Randall; grandchildren, Billy, Barbie, Haley, and Kelly; and great-grandchildren, Vryce, Elaine, Seth, and Kylie.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Frank Unkrich; granddaughter, Ashley Hubbard; brother, Tom Lewis; and five special dogs.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Unity Point Hospice, specifically Bobbie Jo, Shavonna, and Alicia for the loving care they gave Geneva during the last year.
