Macie DeWitt

Macie Carol DeWitt, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Macie was born on January 22, 1934, in Whiteville, North Carolina, the daughter of Johnny and Francis (Cribb) Sutcliffe. She was united in marriage to Dale DeWitt in North Carolina.

Macie was an avid reader. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, baking, and above all, spending time with her family.

Macie is survived by her son, Timothy (Kathy) DeWitt; grandchildren, Jessica (Jordan) Mills, Kaylee (Daniel Buttrey) DeWitt, Gage Berry, and Lucas Berry; great-grandchildren, Miley, Brianna, Hayden, and Gustavo (Gus); brother, Bill Sutcliffe; many nieces & nephews; and three godchildren, Mike Wallace, Leighann Thompson, and Lucy Miller.

Macie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Russell Sutcliffe.
