Michael McKinney, 39, of Martelle, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025. Celebration of Life: 4-8:00 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2025, 3965 Deer Valley Drive, Marion, Iowa 52302. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is assisting the family.
Michael was born on September 3, 1985, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of Donald and Pamela (Vranich) McKinney. He was united in marriage to Shianna Heser on February 27, 2010, in Robins, Iowa.
Michael enjoyed animals, food, smoking meat, going camping, and tinkering with things. He could take anything apart but never quite get it back together. Michael loved his kids and his family.
Michael is survived by his parents, wife, children, Skyler McKinney, Kaylee McKinney, and Kaitlyn McKinney; brother, David (Randene) McKinney; nieces, Jadyn Anderson and Maleeyah Lenards; nephew, Daityn McKinney; and father-in-law & mother-in-law, Patrick (Sandra) Heser.
Michael was preceded in death by his paternal & maternal grandparents, and his aunts, Deb Patterson, Linda McKinney, and Barb Hays.
