Theresa 'Terry' Hartz, 78, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Heritage Specialty Care, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As per Terry's wishes, no services are planned. The family is being cared for by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Terry was born May 1, 1946, in Springfield, Illinois, daughter to Stephen and Helen (Johnson) Timko. She graduated from Regis High School and was united in marriage to Gary Hartz. Theresa graduated with her degree in nursing and worked for many Mercy organizations in Cedar Rapids, including the hospital. Terry enjoyed being at home playing games on her tablet, watching old movies, and reading mystery books. She is survived by her children, Chad (Deann) Hartz and Michele (Tom) Manternach; grandchildren, Alex Manternach and Grace Manternach; and siblings, Steve Timko, Fred Timko, Chuck Timko, Peggy Le Grand, Kathie Fadeley, and Jeanne Timko. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gary Hartz; and twin sister, Suzanne Kos.
