Sharon Kay Warden, age 65, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Visitation 4:30-7:00 p.m., with a Vigil at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Mass: 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 22, 2024, at All Saints Catholic Church, with Visitation one hour prior.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Mike; children, Andy (Tonya) Warden, and Trisha Warden; grandchildren, Arriana, Gavin, and Rowan; siblings, Dick (Judy) Wacha, Dave (Deb) Wacha, Sue (Gary) Schneider, and Doug Wacha; brother-in-law Steve Warden; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Born to Wayne and Lee (Schroeder) Wacha on March 3, 1959, Sharon Kay grew up in Toledo, and graduated from South Tama High School. She and her husband, Mike, recently celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. Sharon enjoyed a variety of jobs, but her favorite has been cooking for the kids at St. Pius X Catholic School.
Sharon was a football fanatic. She cheered for Iowa and Iowa State, but her favorite team was always the Green Bay Packers. Sharon never missed the kids' sports and show choir activities. She really enjoyed her church and the friends she made there. Most importantly, Sharon loved her grandkids more than anything.
She is preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Bob and Irene Warden; and sister-in-law, LuAnn Warden.
Memorials may be directed to the family for donation to All Saints and Saint Pius X Catholic Schools for kitchen equipment.

Mike, Andy and Trisha
I am SO SORRY to learn of Sharon’s passing. She was a great person that I had the privilege of knowing over the years. First at TLS, then at All Saints. Sharing stories of children as they grew up and made their own families.
She certainly was happy and proud of her own.
She will be missed. May God be with your family during this most difficult time.
