Frances J. Griffith, age 94, formerly of Ashton, Illinois, died on Friday, March 29, 2024. Private Graveside Services will be held at a later date. She will be buried in the Spangler family plot in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Our condolences to Fran’s family. Fran was a very special lady! We’ll always remember her.
Fran and I got to know each other when she was the organist at First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle. We talked about books, music, and all sorts of intelligent topics. My youngest son became her page turner for a while, and she created a t-shirt for him with the title of official page turner. She and I played a few organ/piano duets and I always learned something new from her. Thoughts of Fran bring back memories of stretching my brain. My sympathies to you all.
