Cindy Petersen, 66, of Alburnett, Iowa, passed away on January 3, 2024. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2023, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 9:00 ' 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2023, at the funeral home. Luncheon will follow at the Chosen Few MC Clubhouse, 1027 9th Street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52404. Those unable to attend are invited to watch the service via livestream. Please find the livestream link on Cindy's Tribute Wall. Survivors include her daughter, Brandy Pabst; grand-daughter, Kylie Pabst; brothers, Larry Petersen and Scott (Marty) Ellis; sisters, Lynette (Cris) Fuller and Sherri (Duane) Wesbrook; special nephew, Cody Hewitt; and many nieces and nephews. Cindy was born March 20, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She married Richard Schmidt on October 22, 2012. She was active in the Chosen Few and volunteered for many events. She enjoyed going to the casino with her brothers and spending time watching WWE wrestling with her brother, Scott. She loved her pets, gardening, hosting family Christmas for many years, and watching mystery and crime shows. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Thelma Ellis; husband, Richard 'Dingus' Schmidt; sisters, Sandra Fraiser and Becky Hewitt; and sister-in-law, Joyce Petersen. Memorials may be made to the family.
