Brett Joseph Moravek, 38, of Marion, Iowa, suddenly passed away, on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Brett was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on February 20, 1985, to Robert and Karla (Mull) Moravek. He graduated from North Cedar High School in 2003. Brett spent many years working as an HVAC Tech and was a member of the local UA 125. He loved his two cats, Freddie Mercury, and Francesca. Brett enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and riding his motorcycle. Brett will be deeply missed. Brett is survived by his parents, Bob (Tammy Klinkkammer) Moravek, and Karla (Ted Mettler) Moravek; brother, Matt (Robyn) Moravek; nieces, Emmy and Adley; grandmother, Judy Albaugh; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brett was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russ and Joan Moravek; grandfather, Ben Albaugh; aunts, Sharon Pickering, and Dianne Moravek, Laura Henkel; uncles, Steven Moravek, and Gary Henkel. Memorials can be directed to the family.
