  2. To Cindy & Paula and Gary and all of the family, Too many memories to pick one, from Bluebirds when I was in second grade, high school sports, working in “the shop”, LMVAS….. How truly blessed my life has been to have been able to share so much of it with Mary and all of the Viter’s. My love, hugs and prayers for all.

  3. I am grateful to have seen Aunt Mary in person in January while visiting Marsha in the hospital. She never seemed to age to me and she touched so many lives with her strength and humor. Sending love and peace to the family 🙏🏼💔🥹

  4. Mary was one of my Mom’s closest friends, and over the course of the last few months had become a dear friend to me as well. She was a phenomenal, feisty, beautiful soul; and I’m a better person for having known her. She will be greatly missed. She was my rock while Mom was in hospice care at Hallmark. My deepest sympathy to all of her family. My Mom passed recently and I bet Mom and Mary are well pleased to be together again. Thanks for the support, the tears, and all the laughs we shared Mary, I’m going to miss you.

  5. Mary will be missed by our family too. She was the best roommate Mom (Anne Kuntz) could have had when she moved to Hallmark! They laughed and enjoyed each other so much. Mary loved when Willie dog came to visit. Mary has always continued to watch out for Mom even when they didn’t live together.

  6. Cindy and the rest of the Viter family, I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. I’m blessed to have known Mary for so many years and she was always such a wonderful person to be around. Mary definitely left her mark on this earth and has touched the lives of many. She will be greatly missed ❤️

  8. I was a Social Worker at Hallmark Care Center when I met Mary. She had such a lovely, giving soul. I loved the how she spent hours every day working on her jigsaw puzzles. They were so beautiful. My deepest sympathy and condolences to Mary’s family and friends.

  9. Viter Family, I am so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. So many memories of being rural neighbors living on “Grandma Brawner’s farm, my mom working with Mary at the upholstery shop. I can still hear her laugh. She was a character of the best kind!❤️ I know her memory will live on in your hearts forever.

  10. My thoughts & prayers are with my old 1967 classmate, Gary, and the entire Viter family.
Mary Viter was a mother such as mine. She was always interested in Gary’s friends from school. Such a nice lady.

  11. I’ve met Mary several times over the past 19 years. The hard work and dedication she had for our communities was astounding. She helped set the Lisbon Mount Vernon Ambulance Service up for success. She set the bar high and we will continue to try to meet the standards she had set. I’m sorry for your family’s and the community’s loss.

  12. Gary, Cindy, Paula and family,
I’m so very sorry for your loss. What a wonderful lady and had the most infectious laugh, I can still hear that. AND she could tell a pretty good story. I had a nice visit with her at Marsha’s funeral. What a beautiful Mom you had. She is an icon.
Hold her in your hearts forever.

  13. Mary gave of herself in many ways; her talents, her time, her love of others and her faith. What a treasure! She will be missed!

  14. Gary, Cindy and Paula, John, Hilda and all of the family, We are so very sorry for your great loss of Mary. We feel very blessed to have rented a house from Daisy when we were first married and got to enjoy the beautiful community of “Viterville” – what happy memories of this loving, creative, caring and very fun lady and all of you! Holding you in our hearts. Ron and Val Lucas

  15. Mary was always happy and loved to talk. When I joined the navy, Mary told me that if I ever returned to Mount Vernon, I had to stop and see her. I did for years. I was afraid not too. Mary had told me I HAD to visit. My last visit was just a few years ago. She said she was happy to see me and smiled. We talked of old times, fond memories and families. I will miss her.

My prayers go Gary, Cindy and Marsha and the rest of the Galilee. I believe Mary will always be a great memory.
