Norm Van Den Baard

Norm's Life Celebration Faithful to Finish December 5, 1933 - July 3, 2022 Norman (Norm) LeRoy Van Den Baard was lifted into the arms of Jesus, surrounded by his wife and children. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary Ruth and Cornelius Van Den Baard, who were both 89 at their passing. Norm had two sisters Shirley Ward and Joan Felton, who also have gone to Eternity. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cindy; his two sisters, Peggy Van Den Baard, and Diana Burkin; his three children, daughter Terrie (Tony) Kauzlarich of Des Moines, his son Tom Van Den Baard of Oskaloosa, and his youngest daughter, Debbie (Doug) Twedt of Walker; his step-daughter, Heather McSwiggin of Cedar Rapids; step-son Patrick (Marie) McSwiggin of Fridley, Minnesota; and youngest step-daughter, Melissa McSwiggin of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and too many nieces and nephews to count. Norm enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cribbage and being with Family. His favorite holiday was July 4th, as he loved the fireworks and this year had the best seat to watch from the balcony of Heaven. Norm accepted the Lord as his Savior in 1970 at a Lowell Lundstrom concert.
