Larry Howell

Larry Melvin Howell, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on June 10, 2022. He was born in Clarion, Iowa, on June 7, 1947. Larry graduated from Clarion High School in 1964. After high school, he completed training in auto mechanics. He worked for several manufacturing companies including Goss in Cedar Rapids. Larry served in the Army National Guard of Iowa from 1965 to 1971. He enjoyed hunting, target shooting, fishing, gardening, cars, and speaking his mind. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Howell and his mother, Josephine Howell. He is survived by his brother, Daryl Howell and sister in-law, Gaye Wiekierak. A celebration of life will be held at Union Station Bar and Grill in Cedar Rapids from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2022.
