Karen and I have been friends since we were 16 years old. She became friends first with my sister Cheryl in Jr. High at McKinley and then we became friends at Washington High School. We both got married then lived in the same trailer park in Marion when our first boys were born, Jeff (Jeffy) and my son Benjamin (Ben). The boys grew up to be good friends. Then along came Angie and my 2nd. son Nathan. We were busy mom’s and were there for each other. Karen and I talked on the phone every day. We always had a lot to share and lots of laughs. I remember when wigs became popular and we both had to get one which we wore alot. We went to ceramic class about once a week and made a pitcher and bowl set with crackled paint and other things that we were pretty proud of. We had fun talking and working on our projects together. Karen was a very friendly person and was well liked. She was a loving, fun and caring person and a great mother to Jeff and Angie. We shared receipes and mostly liked to make chocolate chip cookies, brownies and Texas sheet cake. We had a great connection for many years. I have so many good memories that I will never forget and I love ❤️ thinking about them. I believe she is now with her father, mother and Angie that she missed so very much. Rest in peace my dear friend and you will never be forgotten. Diana Strother
I knew Karen in the early 70’s, she lived two doors down from me in the trailer park in Marion, Iowa! She was very good to me, since I did not drive at that time! I remember her fondly! Prayers to her family, especially her son🙏 Alice Christian Steinweg
