Richard Harvey, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Family and friends will gather from 12-1 p.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Dick was born on October 27, 1939. He worked for National Oats for 34 years. Dick enjoyed going to Kernels games, fishing, car racing, Iowa Hawkeye sports, gardening, bike riding, and spending time with his beloved dog, Missy, who passed away. Survivors include his wife, Linda; children, Lori Harvey and Michael (Vickie) Harvey; siblings Dennis (Cindy) Dye, Patsy (Dallas) Dye, Roy (Rebecca) Brady, Sandy (Roger) Erhardt, Gary (Norma) Harvey; sister-in-law, Judy Harvey; and lots of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lily Brady; father, Henry (Nellie) Harvey; daughter, Lisa Harvey; and siblings, Robert (Sheryl) Brady, Melvin Brady, and John Harvey. Memorials may be directed to the family.

I really enjoyed doing things with my dad He really liked going for ice cream and on road trips my dad would always ask me if we were going anywhere and when I would still be in bed or gone he would ask my mom when I was getting up or coming home Dad I really am going to miss u love u dad Lori

  5. Although we were far apart,My Brother in Iowa and me in Mississippi, I will never forget my Brother,He just had a smile that if you was feeling down it would cheer you up !!   6. Dick was like a dad figure to me. I’ll always remember when I was staying at their house recovering from my knee surgery and gall bladder surgery he would always tell me that Elvis was going to come sing to me at night. I will always miss dad. Fly high with Elvis,and Lisa.

  7. Always enjoyed your visits to Indiana! Great friend’s through Linda’s niece Angie, loved the cookouts, swimming in the lake. I’ve missed you all getting to come every year since Dick got sick. Wish I could make it to give you all a hug. Friends forever
