  1. We are deeply sorry for your loss ~ Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services – Cedar Rapids

  2. We have many fond memories of your parents when they lived next door. When I think of them, I think of laughter and good times. My mom valued their friendship as well. May you all be comforted with many wonderful memories. Karen and Mike Kennedy

    • Thank you Karen. I feel so lucky to have such fun and kind parents. I will miss Dad so much. After Mom passed away, I had the privilege of talking to him daily. I’d call him from Seattle on my way home from work. I will miss him and those calls. I see Mom and Dad dancing and laughing and being happy together again. Hope all is well with you and your family. Love, Michon

    • Thank you Karen and Mike. Mom and Dad had so many good times with you all. They were truly blessed with all of their wonderful friends and family.

  3. Please accept my condolences for the loss of Don. Don was a great friend and buddy to my grandfather Mel Tudor. I can still hear their laughter together. Such trickster’s, lol. I believe they both truly loved laughter. Prayers of peace and comfort over your family ❤️

    • Rachel, thank you for your tribute. I can hear Dad and Mel laughing (probably about something stupid). They had so many good times together.

  4. Hello, cousins… I’m Jennifer Boyd. Don was my mom (Marilyn Johnson Boyd’s) first cousin. She has the best stories of growing up with him in South Dakota… and the twinkle that was always in his eye. I so enjoyed meeting your parents at Great Uncle Roy and Great Aunt Doris Johnson’s 50th wedding anniversary in 1989. They made me laugh so much, my face hurt when we went back to Grandma’s in LaBolt… and I loved it. My condolences to all of you. Your dad is remembered so fondly by all of us. (ps in the photo I’ve attached, that’s mom all the way on the left… and my uncle Rol is in the striped shirt, right next to your dad)

    • Jennifer, I LOVE this picture! Is that my Great-Grandma Annie standing behind your Mom and my Great-Grandpa standing behind my Dad?Thank you for reaching out.
