Robert Raymond Diaz Jr. 'Uncle Rob', 63, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by family who will strive to honor his memory by living life to the fullest. Visitation: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, August, 27, 2021, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert Raymond Madison III and Romara (Chris) Diaz-Montgomery; granddaughter, Raenique Diaz-Shockley; siblings, Luciano, Louella, and Leola; a host of nephews, nieces, and extended family; and best friend, Danny Morgan.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Raymond Diaz Sr. and Ida Diaz; brothers, Leroy and Lorenzo Diaz; grandparents, Harold and Henrietta Warrell and Cornelius and Bessie Diaz; uncle, David Jones Sr; nephews, Damar Diaz-Doolin and Santonio Watkins.
Robert was born November 6, 1957, in Cedar Rapids. He loved to cook, ride his bike, take walks, draw, and tell jokes'he was a comedian. Robert will be missed by all who love him.

Known you for years went to school together, and use to hang out together in our younger days. We use to be over at you all house all the time back in the day. Going to miss seeing you either on the porch or walking somewhere. R.I.P my friend. I also still have the pictures we all took together back in the day.
My beloved cousin Robert will always remain in my heart ..our acquaintance here on earth was ordained through our Heavenly Father..therefore it will be a privilege to have known him!!! My sincere prayers and condolences to the family..love always and will keep you lifted in prayer.
