Sheryl Huber

Sheryl Huber, 64, of Marion, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family following a decade long battle with cancer. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2021, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, by Reverend Gary Mayer. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Mike; children, Jenny Huber (Kory Treviranus) and Nick Huber; siblings, Pat (Dan) Bentley, Deb (Dwight) Dohlman, Dan (Laurie) Fee, and Robin (Larry) Williams; brother-in-law, Jeff Huber; eight nieces and nephews, Jill (Shane) St. John, Tracy (Corey) Alberts, Chris (Paul) Doerning, Kevin Bentley (Marcy Bernardi), Danielle (Michael Skersick) Fee, Robert Fee, Todd Williams, and Sarah (Brady) Milder; many extended family members; numerous friends including long time friend Mary Nofal Brady; and dog, Trigger. Sheryl Marie Fee was born March 13, 1957, to Robert and Dolores (Schmuecker) Fee in Cedar Rapids. She attended Immaculate Conception School, and graduated from Regis High School in 1975. Sherrie worked as a waitress at Country Kitchen'this is where she met Mike Huber, and they began dating. Sherrie later worked at Happy Chef until beginning her career at ADM as a logistics and accounting clerk. Shortly after beginning her career at ADM, Sherrie and Mike were married on July 20, 1985, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. They spent many happy years together creating their family. Sherrie enjoyed cooking, gardening flowers and vegetables, keeping the house tidy, and taking many family vacations across the United States and even into Canada. She collected many knickknacks (and Beanie Babies) to put on display. Sherrie retired from ADM after nearly 40 years of dedicated work. She has been a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church for the past 20 years, and enjoyed visiting other Catholic churches. Sherrie cherished spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who know and love her. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant niece; and dog Buster. Sherrie's family would like to thank Dr. Ghosh and staff, Dr. Saxena and staff, Dr. Cearlock and staff, and the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, Illinois, for their gracious care of Sherrie throughout her illness.
