Daniel Moen Sr., 57, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday April 30, 2021, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Memorial Service: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May, 15, 2021, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda; children, Melissa and Daniel Jr; grandchildren, Aiden and Lexi Whitford and Daniel III and Leon Moen; mother, Nancy Harrington; siblings, Debra Moen, Denise Moen, Darwin (Maria) Moen, Diane (David) Harrington-Lerch, and Duane Harrington; grandmother, Jane Severide; many nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends.
Daniel James Moen was born January 28, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, to Harlan and Nancy (Severide) Moen. He graduated from Washington High School. Daniel worked in concrete polishing for many years, most recently for PolishMaxx. He enjoyed working, and in his free time would play frisbee, ride his bicycle, or anything outdoors such as camping or fishing. Daniel was a happy and outgoing man who was always there to lend a hand, especially when his kids needed help with cars or moving.
He was preceded in death by his father.
