I remember hearing about you 3 kids when I worked for your Mom and Dad at the Locker in Mount Vernon. They were very proud of each of you. Your Mom was a very hard worker. Your Dad was a little more relaxed about working but your Mom kept him on track! You have my deepest sympathy and prayers. Rest in Peace, Hollis! Carol Clark
I remember working with Hollis at Perkins in the 70’s.I named my daughter Holly but called called her Hollis all the time
Our sympathy to the family – from the pharmacy staff at the Hy-Vee grocery store on Johnson Avenue.
When I read that Hollis had passed away, it brought back many good memories of times long ago when I made frequent visits to Hartung home and business. She and Milford were good friends and Terri also and I treasure those memories. Meryl and Marilyn were in the class ahead of me and Meryl has been a friend for years also. We will keep all of you in our prayers and wish that your faith, family, friends and great memories will comfort you in the times ahead. ❤️🙏 John and Thelma Rife
Merle, Marilyn and Terri, What a life your Mom lived, wow!!! She was such a special person. I remember YEARS ago when we were in school and spent time at your home, Milford would say something that she didn’t think he should have and she would give him THAT LOOK and say Now Milford. Of course we all laughed as we thought it was funny. We always had so much fun with your folks and of course I loved teasing your Dad just to hear Hollis get worked up. Many, many good memories of your family. Hugs and my sympathy to you all. You are in my thoughts. Annamae Baker
