Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Will always remember Ray when he would come into brueggers with his wife daughter and grandkids. Was always a good time seeing him. Will always remember his smile and talking to him when they came in. Fly high my friend. Till we meet again

  2. Some of my favorite childhood memories involve the Zook household. Sleepovers with Lori were always the best and Ray and Kay always made me feel like one of the family. I will always remember our pancake mornings at Village Inn. Rest easy Ray, check out all that Heaven has to offer. My love to Kay, Lori, Lance, Jim, Brad and families at this difficult time.

  3. I worked at my family’s restaurant Joensy’s and Ray and Kay would come in frequently. Their son and wife would come in with them as well. I grew to become friends with Ray during their visits to our restaurant. He was a great guy that I always enjoyed talking with. I haven’t seen him in a while as I quit working nights at the restaurant. I won’t forget him though. Only the best to his family.

  4. I worked with Kay over the years in the Restaurant and Real Estate Business, and only met Ray once, but he was a good fellow. They were a wonderful couple. I am saddened to hear of your family loss, and you are all in my prayers. Daniel K. Cosman

  5. Zook Family: We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Ray. Your family is our thoughts and prayers. James & Helen Yeisley

  6. The Zooker was a patient teacher, comfortable laugher and a composed fellow in a fire. I learned so much from him in working together at the Duane Arnold Energy Center. I think he like oolies (obscure facts), but I know he liked to laugh and smile. I think of him with legs crossed, leaning back in chair and ready to listen…and laugh! I’m grateful to him. May all the Angels, Saints, Holy men and Holy women welcome Ray into God’s eternal Grace. And may God Bless the memory of Ray Zook and continue to rain down Blessings on his family and friends as they turn sadness into gladness as they celebrate a life well-lived.

  7. We enjoyed the visits with Ray and Kay at Bruegger’s during breakfast time. An interesting person with an amazing positive attitude about life. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

  8. Sending our deepest sympathy to you, Kay in the loss of your dear husband, Ray. Jim and I always loved visiting with you at Joensy’s. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.
