  1. That’s my Grandpa. I used to sneak into his room at night and crawl into bed with him and Grandma. They had Johnny Carson on and Grandpa would always play tickle monster. He was so good at it. All of us grandkids would sleep in the front room and every morning I woke up to the sound of Grandpa shuffling in to the kitchen in to start the coffee and the bacon. And I knew the day was going be good…..strawberries warm off the vine, playing with my brothers and cousins across the pond in the abandoned building, some pool time. It was the best of times:). Thank you for all of my Tisdale traits you’ve passed on. I love you and miss you, maybe I’ll get to see you again someday. I hope so❤️

    • I knew Jim and Jean when they lived in Clarinda. We lived on the SW corner of the block and they lived on the NW corner of the same block. Gary and I were playmates. Every weekend Jim and Jean came down to our house. They sat at our kitchen table and played cards with my parents. The good old days. We went to Marshalltown and visited them once.

  2. oh the fun that was had on White Pine Dr. Will never forget the trip out west with the whole Tisdale clan. first time I ever experienced the mountains and remember all the camping we did. Thank you Jim for all you were and did. those were good times for all of us…. rest in peace Jim…

  3. Anneliese, So sorry I was not able to attend the memorial service for Jim. The commitment I had for noon extended later into the day. But know that you, and all of your family, are in my thoughts and prayers. Fred Althoff
