My deepest condolences to the Family on the lost of your dear loved one may you draw comfort from God’s Love and from the Love and Support of Family and Friends to give you strength and peace during your time of sorrow
Dale and I first met when we were in our mid teens, we lived across the alley from each other, had many common interests, and spent a lot of time together.
When he had his 1955 Chevy, I also had mine, back then the “in thing” was a name painted on your car, his was “Chico” and mine was “Pedro”.
He told me a story of how we would ride around in his Chevy and I would sing and play his set of bongo drums, I don’t remember it, but I know he wouldn’t lie.
We spent many a hour at my uncle’s Texaco station, we each had a 41 Chevy then, Dale’s was a sedan, mine was a coupe, ah, the memories.
We each had an interest in model airplanes, and we would head out and fly our control line models, sometimes crashing them, but always having fun.
We also had a go-cart we would put in the trunk and head over to the old “roundhouse” or the parking lot of the Pigly Wigly store and do some go-cart racing, it was a blast.
All the time we spent together and knew each other we never had a cross word between us.
When we both were into a family style life and were into camping, we spent many a weekend pulling our campers to some campground, also did some yakking on the CB radio.
When you’ve known a person for over sixty years, the stories add up and up and up………….
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
R.I.P. my friend.
