Marsha Lynn Avis was born to Chuck and Judy (Goldsberry) Avis on February 15, 1966 in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Alburnett High School with the class of 1984, and later received an Associates' Degree from Kirkwood. On April 4, 1997, she married her love, Vance Light, at the United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon. Marsha worked in the commercial billing department of GE Capital, now Wells Fargo.
She enjoyed rooting on the Packers and Cardinals when she wasn't involved with Mount Vernon Wrestling activities. Marsha was also passionate about her love of Christmas, snow, and John Denver. But most especially, she fought tirelessly to spend just a little more time with the family who she loved.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped light up Mount Vernon for their special Christmas with Marsha.

Marsha Avis Light, was in my husbands; high school class. She was always positive and big smile; that would light up the room. My husband, was one of many, that could would always fun tease her; that the jolly laughter was heard. She went to school in both Toddiville and Alburnett. Best buddies with everyone; but a few she was really tight with. First folks comes to mind Molly H, Donna K., Charlene B. They started with her from kindergarten to graduation ( 1984). She was always at football, and basketball games. Marsha was an awesome, mom. Pictures, were advid on her fbk page. Became a high school “wrestling” fan. I know she’ll be missed, tons.
