You always noticed when I was down and like magic you’d just stop by and instantly be able to cheer me up. Always willing to help out a friend in need…i know you’re watching all of those still here but you have left a permanent spot in all our hearts that will stay with us forever. You are missed very much already but I know you’ll be there waiting for us to join you wherever we go. Give Sarge a hug from us 😇❤Miss and love you so much. Love, J-bug (Jenny)

  3. Embarrassing as it is, I had a crush on him when I was little. We went through all of our years together in school. My mom tells the story when I came home from Kindergarten and said, ” I wove Chucky Peal”
I wish I would have stayed in touch with him.
My sincere condolences to his family .
    RIP

  4. I went to school with Chuck most of my school years (except 5th and 6th when I moved) and graduated with him. He will miss by his classmates and many more. My condolences to his family, he was a great guy! RIP Chuck!

  6. We were so close Chuck was there the night my youngest was born…on his birthday! So much more than a cousin, my kids and their kids all called him uncle. Our family reunions will have a huge hole as do our hearts. Until we meet again dear cousin

  7. My sincere condolences to Chuck’s family. I was very sorry to hear the news. For 6 years at Harding and Kennedy, Chuck’s locker was always within a couple of mine, and I ran track with him. Chuck had a great sense of humor, and more importantly, he was really kind and thoughtful at an age – adolescence – when a lot us weren’t making kindness a priority. He could take guff & give it out equally well, but almost always with a smile and never with any meanness. After listening to me whine about my lousy hair for a couple of days, he once told me I had to face it, I had the worst head of hair in school. The next day I told him I’d thought about it, and decided I had the third hair in school, and pointed out two other guys as possibly having worse hair than me. He thought about it for a second and said, “You’re right; third worst. But what does it matter – I heard your solo for Mr Quijano in 7th grade — you aren’t going to be a rock star anyway.” Truer words never spoken! He could always make me laugh. One day he came to track practice with black socks on. I told him, “Chuck, you just can’t wear black socks with your running shoes; it’s just not cool, man.” First off, he didn’t give a darn and promised he’d do the same thing the next day; which he did! Second, I was watching a track meet not 24 hours after I heard of Chuck’s passing, and wouldn’t you know it, I saw two athletes wearing black socks under their track spikes – turns out Chuck was a fashion trend-setter way before his time… and a pretty darn good quarter-miler in his day.

  8. Oh Charlie I miss you so much. You were my brother and we knew each other better than anyone else. We have buried your urn in our cemetery here in Minnesota. Sherry
