Floyd Drafahl, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died at home on Friday, December 23, 2016. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include children, Mark (Silvia), Russell (Sally), Christavan (Jackie), Shawn (Lori), and Jeffery; grandchildren, Nolan, Stefan, Erich, Jesse, Megan, Julia, Andy, and Taryn; great grandchild, Sean; siblings; Kathryn, Jack, Marilyn, Marcia, and Janet (Jack); and caretaker, Theresa.
Floyd was born March 5, 1932, at home in Palo, Iowa, the son of John and Hazel (McBurney) Drafahl. After graduating high school, Floyd served honorably in the United State Marine Corps. He worked 17 years for Farmstead Foods, then later for Uncle Stan's Military Surplus and Country Corner Western Store.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Matt; and siblings, Richard, Clifford, and Sharla.
