  3. I worked with Paula at Four Oaks. She was always caring and kind and thoughtful of others. She always had a smile to give the people she worked with, as well as our clients.

We miss her and send out thoughts and prayers to your family.

  4. Paula was a great friend and a consistently honest person. Her support to me dates back to the 80’s when I moved to Mt. Vernon. She was a reliable core member for many who attended Al Anon. She went for years just in case she could help someone else. She readily shared her journey. What an inspiration to a constant, caring life. She will be greatly missed!

  5. What a beautiful lady, with a kind spirit. I enjoyed visiting with her at church and threatening to make her watch my dancing of the scarfs! She will be missed.

  6. Sincerest condolences to the daughters, extende family and friends of Paula. She was a great friend of ours, and will be sorely missed. On behalf of the downstairs Saturday night group, Tony Thomas.

  7. My sincere condolences to her family and friends
. I have known Paula for a long time. She was a kind loving person that I always enjoyed talking to . She was as beautiful on the outside as she was on the inside. . I did not think when I talked to her a short time ago that would be my last visit.. May God wrap his loving arms around her family and give them peace with her passing. I know God received her with open arms.

  8. Paula was a dear and very special friend. She guided me through many tough times and helped me rely on my faith. Together we tackled the problems of life and single parenting. She will forever be in my heart and prayers. She is now at peace in God’s arms.

  9. Sally,
I’m so sorry for your loss. I always liked your Mom, she had such a sweet smile and was so soft spoken. Always think of her with love and the stories you girls can share. I first met her when she lived in the old neighborhood on Lincoln drive….such a sweet lady.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Hope your life is going well. I’d love to see you and give you a hug.

    My sympathy,
    Annamae

  10. Sheila, Suzi, & Sally,
So sorry to learn of Paula’s passing and the long fight that preceded it. She was a wonderful person and an amazing mom. She worked so hard to give you girls every opportunity for success, always with love. I know she will be missed.

  11. Sheila, Suzi and Sally, I am so sorry I missed the service for Paula. I have been out of state for the past week and didn’t know until I read the Sun at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. I have retired from the bank and sent her an e-mail, after I left, to see if I could see her, but I never got a response. I was going to contact her again this next week. So sorry, I missed my last chance. Your Mother was always an inspiration to me as a Mom and a person from the moment I met you all in the Mt Vernon trailer court when we first moved to MV. The boys were 6 and 7, and when I first saw your Mom, I thought she was your Sister. She was a very strong woman to go out on her own with her girls, and I hope, as you have gotten older, you understand, and will always be proud. She was and always will be in my heart. Love to you all.
