Damon served honorably for over 20 years in the United States Navy. Highlights of his service include teaching small arms weaponry to midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy and serving aboard several history making ships including the ship that recovered the remains of the Challenger space shuttle and the ARS that towed minesweepers to the Persian Gulf. After his Navy retirement, Damon was a truck driver for several area companies. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW. He had a great sense of humor, loved anything with trains, and all of his four legged children. The best day of his life was on October 22, 1977, when he married his dear wife, Peggy. 2. Chief Wolfe was the best Chief I served under when I was stationed at the Naval Base in Annapolis Md. I was assigned to the Small Arms Training Center. He was a good and honest man. Boy did he like to work. He would work day and night. The Dept. Head would make him stop working. Rest in Peace Chief. Ready on the left Ready on the Right all ready on the Firing Line. GMG2 J.J.
