Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I had the pleasure of working with Sue at the University of Iowa libraries for many years. Sue was one of the most caring, selfless individuals i have ever known. She always had a warm smile and a laugh to share. All of us who knew her will miss her greatly.

  2. My sympathy on the loss of Sue. Sue and I went to school together from Fillmore to Roosevelt then after Jefferson. I thought of her when I drove thru the old neighborhood over the years. My mother would occasionally run into Sue or her mother and enjoyed her visits with them. (Including at a few singles dances!)

    • Thank you Jan. I do remember you . I’ve thought about the old neighborhood often and those in it. What a special time and place! Chris Kinley Osborn

  3. So sorry to Matt, Dan, Chris and Katey for the loss of your sister. I remember her babysitting myself, and my siblings when we were small. She always seemed so soft spoken and gentle around us. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through, the Mercy of God, rest in peace.
    Very Sincerely,
    Barb Rogers and family

  4. Chris,
I’m so very sorry for your loss. What a shock! I never realized how much you and Susan looked alike. I can also see a bit of Grace there too.

Always think of Susan with positive thoughts and memories.

Peace be with you and your family.

    With my sincere sympathy,

I worked with Sue at Sears in Iowa City at the Sycamore Mall in the 80″s. We worked in men’s clothing and shoes. Now , there is no Sears in Iowa City. Sue was a great employee, never complained, always on time and went right to what needed to be done. I would run into Sue now and then around Iowa City. The last time I saw her was at Hy- Vee ,she was in the entry waiting for a cab. I didn’t know Sue was ill. She always new me and always spoke even though it had been 3o years or more since working together. Sue was always so quiet. I never knew she had brothers and sisters.. I’m sorry for your loss. Sue was a good person.

  6. I remember having fun going ice skating with Sue in high school. She was a quiet person with a warm personality. I was shocked to hear she had passed away … but God has plans for every single person. Surely she will be dearly missed by All. To all the Kinley family, we are so sorry for your loss.
    With sincere sympathy,
    Beth, Scott and Megan Smothers
