Barb Phelps-Lord

Barbara Ann Phelps-Lord, 61, of Lisbon, went to her eternal life on Friday, November 13, 2015, at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport. Memorial Service: 11 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, by Celebrant Mary Morgan. Visitation: 1 hour prior to the service. She is survived by her life partner of 20 years, Don Barnhart; daughter, Carin (Brandon Bailey) Lord; son, Shawn (Erin) Seiler; grandchildren, Gavin Lord, and Sammy and Daphne Seiler; beloved dog, Kiwi; sister, Marianne Zahorik; and uncle, Martin (Edith) Davis and their family. Barb was born on April 30, 1954, in Cedar Rapids to Howard and Margaret (Davis) Phelps. She was a dental tech for many years until she received a liver transplant in 2001. She enjoyed making stained-glass mosaics, vacationing on white sand beaches such as in Siesta Key, Florida, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, David.
