Rex Allen Carter, 65, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died at his home on June 8, 2015. Funeral Service: 12 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2015, by Celebrant Mary Morgan at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Private Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville.
He was born on April 23, 1950, to parents Leonard and Ruth (Sherman) Carter. Rex worked as a press operator for Cryovac. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and was an avid Cubs fan.
Survivors include his children, Kelley and Kyle; step-daughter, RanDee (Tom) Hupp; sisters-in-law, Nancy and Betty Carter; and many nieces and nephews.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, James and Gary.
