June Johnson Geiger 89, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Amana, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2015, with her family by her side. June was born February 5, 1926, in Stanwood, Iowa, to the late Clifford and Frieda Johnson. Survivors include her son, Larry (Cynthia) Crock; granddaughters, Denise (Andy) Helle and Amanda (Andre) Ingram; stepchildren, Pam (Allan) Knott and their sons, Kory and Barry, Philip (Sharon) Geiger and their daughters, Kristen and Katy. Also surviving is her sister, Jenira Thien, her children; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; niece, Melinda; brother-in-law, Melvin; and her parents. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials should be directed to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.

  1. June was a good neighbor. We missed her after she moved. Always enjoyed sitting on her back patio and just visiting…..or helping her pull weed along the creek ,which we both would end up with poison ivy.
    Dennis always enjoyed going over a couple of times a week to have coffee with June and she always looked forward to him coming over .
    So sorry to hear of her passing……..
