Kenneth R. "Bud" Hall, 78 of Lisbon, died unexpectedly at his Lisbon home. Services are at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon Chapel, by Pastor Howard Mace. Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday at the chapel. Burial will be at Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery with military rites. Bud is survived by his wife Willie J.O. formerly of Lisbon, a son Mike and wife Cindy Hall of Elgin, Illinois; a daughter Elizabeth and husband Dalyn Dye of Cary, Illinois; a brother Donald "Glen" of Clearwater, Florida, a sister Joyce Webb of Independence; and five grandchildren. Bud was preceded in death by his parents. Bud was born February 10, 1928 at Lisbon, the son of Kenneth C. and Mamie M. Jefferies Hall. He graduated from Lisbon High School in 1945, later serving in the U.S. Navy. Bud married Willie J.O. Valentine February 20, 1955 at Cedar Rapids. He farmed part time, was a foreman for Iowa Steel and Iron Works for over forty years, and was a past member of the Machinists Union of Cedar Rapids. Bud was an outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing, and working in his woodworking shop. He loved watching and attending Iowa Hawkeye and Lisbon Lions sports. His children and grandchildren were an important part of his life, and he enjoyed spending time with them. Memorials in Bud's honor may be sent to the Lisbon Lions Athletic Association, 235 West School, Lisbon, Iowa, 52253.
