OUR GRANDMA We have so many memories, And these will get us through… for without the visions of grandma we dont know what we’ll do. So picture her at a dance, while laughing with her friends Everyone is gathered round, on her they could depend. You could sometimes see her standing SO beautiful in every way, and oh so very often She’d have something funny to say. Imagine her getting ready for bed, Just relaxing as she drifts off to sleep As visions of her friends and family make her feel right at peace. Grandma never really wanted much, to her she had it all The things that mattered most to her, to the rest of us may have seemed small. She’d sometimes sew for hours, and knew every stitch… to cover every detail, she was always very quick. She loved her cookies and pastries, and anything thats sweet, and the way she cast her beautiful smile was really quite unique. Grandma has a daughter who cared for her each day, she on her she could depend, to respond to her needs in every way. SHe and grandma like best friends they were, with each other thru thick and thin… for they knew they’d always be together, until the very end. Grandma never had an unkind word to say of anyone, and anyone who knew her knew her heart it weighed a ton. If you even saw her dance and watched her “Jitter Bug”… you knew it was hard to keep up with her, as she wore a hole in the rug. We didnt want to say goodbye but knew it was her time for she quietly in her own dignified way, left us without a sigh. And though it seems our grandma is missing here today, we know she’s watching over us and loves us just the same. We’re sure she is sayin’ “Don’t be sad”… for i’m in a better place I’ve reunited with my family so please wipe those tears from your face. So hold these thoughts and memories and feel her presence near, for someday when our time arrives, We’ll see our dear grandma and shed a cheerful tear. So just for now we say farewell, until we meet again, thank you ever so much for being our sweet grandma, Our Mother, sister and friend.
