Lois Sue Lenz

September 11, 1948 ~ November 17, 2009

Lois Sue Noggle Lenz, 61, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in her Mechanicsville home surrounded by her family, from a long illness. Memorial services 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon Chapel, by Celebrant Mary Morgan. The family will greet friends Friday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at the chapel. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville. Surviving Lois are her husband Jerry, two sons, Chad and Brad Tenney, all of Mechanicsville, a step daughter, Rhonda (Darin) Herum, Cedar Falls, two sisters, Sara Lyn (Jim) Schneider, Cedar Rapids, April (Kevin) Neuendorf, Hiawatha, and nine grandchildren. Preceding Lois in death were her parents, Lloyd and Dolores Cramer Noggle, and a sister Corrine Noggle Robison. Lois was born September 11, 1948 in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Washington High School, Cedar Rapids in 1966. She worked as an assembler for Collins Radio, retiring in 2009. Lois was a member of the I.B.E.W. Union, Cedar Rapids, where she was a union steward. She married Jerry Lenz, August 12, 1976 in Cedar Rapids. Lois enjoyed reading, playing on the computer, her flowers and pond, living in the country, and loved her grandchildren. Lois was a strong brave person who battled cancer twice and fought hard for every day of her life. She was loved and will be missed. The family would like to thank the all who cared for her over the years. Immediately following Lois's funeral, a light lunch will be served in the Morgan Community Room. Memorials in Lois's memory may be donated to Hospice of St. Luke's, 1026 A Ave N.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402, or the American Cancer Society, 4080 1st Ave N.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 52402.
