Randy J. Roberts, 66, of Lisbon, died Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Graveside Services 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lisbon Cemetery by Celebrant Mary Morgan with Military Honors. Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon. Surviving Randy are his wife, Regina; six children; Zeke (Corby), Levi (Jenny), Seth (Raychel), Luke (Amanda) Roberts, Corey Carmer, Jenifer Carmer Back (Chris); nine grandchildren; Soloman, Elizabeth, Amber, Rebecca, Derek, Ethan, Zachary, Samantha, and Justic; his mother Audrey Warland; a sister Shelley Reese; a brother Greg Warland; and many nieces and nephews. Randy was born September 10, 1947. He graduated from High School at Washington, Iowa. Randy served four years in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam. He attended Indian Hills College in Ottumwa. Randy worked as a Controls Engineer at U.T.A. in Iowa City for over twenty-five years. Randy was an active member of his community, volunteering his time in many ways for the City of Lisbon, serving two terms on the City Council, working at the Cemetery, and on the Tree Board. He loved music especially his time with the band, Do's and Don't's. Randy enjoyed nature, astronomy, gardening and was a huge Hawkeye fan. Most of all he loved his family. Regina, I was so sorry to see on facebook Randy had passed. I will always remember the interesting conversations. He got me to eat my first honeycrisp apple.
