I am not sure whether my message was received, so will try again. My condolences to the family of Vernon and Helen Burge. They didn’t know me by name but recognized me as a frequent visitor/volunteer at the Care Center. I did the Reading Group on Tuesday. Helen really enjoyed this and would often add comments on the “Good Old Days”. As Helen recognized me, she always had a welcoming smile for me. I will miss her. Luella Scott
To the Burge Family, I’m so sorry for your loss, especially with both parents being so close, but they are together again…. They sure left their mark on the Mt. Vernon area….. I enjoyed them coming into the store and always had a nice visit with them and your Dad usually had something “wise” to say. With my sincere sympathy, Annamae Baker
