Cory Sundberg, 31, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010. A gathering of family and friends will be 4 ' 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. He is survived by his mother, Jodie (Brian) Ackley; step-father, Rick Yates; daughter, Camryn Sundberg; sister, Brooke (Justin) Linn; and brother, Chad Sundberg. Cory was born October 12, 1979, in Cedar Rapids. He loved baseball and spending time with his family and friends. Cory will be remembered as happy and cheerful. He was preceded in death by his biological father, James; and grandparents, James and Velma Ackley. Memorials may be directed in Cory's name to Veridian Credit Union.

Words cannot even touch the feelings that I feel for this terrible loss…Cory and I have had some memorable times…I will always remember that Pickles were his favorite food…I will always remember his contagious laugh and his unforgettable smile…Prayers to the family..if God brings us to it…he will bring us through it.
Cory may you rest in peace you were such a great person. Your smile could light up the room. You will be missed very dearly. May your family grief in their own way but no you loved them all.

You are now in Grandma Ackley’s care. I am sure she is hugging you tight, and happy you are ok now. I am glad we talked on Thanksgiving. I did not know it would be for the last time.I will remember it forever. You were strong Cory, you were a good kid here on earth, and I know you will be an even better Angel in Heaven. Give all our family up there hugs and kisses, keep an eye on Grandma & Grandpa :~), and I will look after your mom. She is so sad you are gone here on earth, but knows you are in a better place with our Lord Jesus Christ. Until we meet again buddy.

I am so extremely sorry to hear about the loss of Cory. He was such a good, fun loving person who always made me and everyone around him laugh. My heart and prayers go out to all of you at this time, please know my thoughts are with all of you at this time. Today was Camryn’s last day of kindergarten. You would be so proud of her! She is growing up so quick. She wears a neckals with a picture of you and her in the locket.
Think of you daily. Never EVER will you be forgotten. Jayce remembers you believe it or not he can point out Uncle Cory in any picture 🙂

It has been 6 months today since you left us, seems like just yesterday. Not a day goes by that we don’t think about you. I know that you are watching over us now with your Dad and Grandma & Grandpa Ackley. I will never forget all the memories we have together or your contagious lauhgter and smile.

Your Mom is down to like 2-3 cigarettes a day from almost 3 packs!
