John Sakulin Sr., 67, of Cedar Rapids, died at home on Sunday, June 10, 2012. Memorial Mass: 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at St. Jude Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by, Rev. Mark Reasoner. Burial: St. Michael Cemetery, Norway, Iowa. Survivors include his wife, Sue; son, John Sakulin Jr.; daughters, Jill (Steve) Todd, Heather (Dan) Weber, and Heidi Sakulin; brother, Glen Sakulin; sisters, Sue Shaver, Jane (Leo) Hettich, and Glenna (Ron) Stutzman; and nine grandchildren, David, Kylee, Madison, Sara, Michael, Ryan, Olivia, Jaxon, and Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Ida Sakulin; brothers, Dick and Jim; niece, Lori Shaver; and his in-laws, Barney and Helen Knowles. Memorials may be directed to the family.

  6. I am so very sorry for your loss. John was a very dear friend here at Loparex, always had a joke or story to tell. He could always put a smile on my face even in my worst nights here at work. I have missed him here at work these passed years, but thought of him often and will continue to always remember the fun times we had together. So very sorry that you lost a great man.
