Emeterio 'Terry' Luebano Romo, 73, of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Snyder, Texas, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Memorial services are being held in Texas. Arrangements are by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his wife, Sulema Romo of Marion, Iowa; his children, Richard Romo, Roland (Ann) Romo, all of Amarillo, Texas, Debbie Romo of Snyder, Texas, and Barbara (Antonio Jr.) Carreon of Charlotte, Texas; step children, Naida Garza of Marion, Iowa, and Eleodoro B. Garza of San Antonio, Texas; his brothers, Raymond (Minnie) Romo of Hereford, Texas, and Gil (Ruby) Romo of Charlotte, Texas; step daughter-in-law, Genny Garza of San Antonio, Texas; sister-in-laws, Irene Romo, Vicenta Romo, both of Charlotte, Texas, and Isabel Romo of Amarillo; and a brother-in-law, Pedro Zuniga of Charlotte, Texas. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Anna Alecia, Joseph, Hannah, Ryan, Claryssa, Alyssandra, Demetr��, Lilliana, Isabella, and Matthew; and three great grandchildren, Jonathan Brayden, Aaron Luis, and Aleko Amadeus. Terry was born March 3, 1939, in Charlotte, Texas, the son of Francisco and Delfina (Luebano) Romo Sr. He worked as a supervisor at Ezell-Key Feed & Grain, retiring after 37 years. On June 16, 1996, he married Sulema Berlanga Garza in Snyder, Texas. They moved to Iowa in 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Magdalena Zuniga; brothers, Alfonso, Francisco II, Delfino, and Leon Romo; and a step-son, Maj. Amadeo Garza.
