Mary F. Rickards, 90, of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Wilmington, Delaware, died Monday, May 17, 2010, at Willow Gardens Care Center, Marion. Mary donated her body to the University of Iowa and there will be no services. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Marion. She is survived by her son, Randy (Sheila) Rickards of Marion; two grandchildren, Eric Rickards and Randi Marie (Zechariah) Flaugh, and one great grandchild, Autumn. Mary was born January 18, 1920, in Wilmington, Delaware, the daughter of Elwill and Laura (Hartis) Fisher. She married Edmund Rickards on May 4, 1968 in Wilmington. She worked as a secretary before retiring and moving to Palm Springs, California. Mary moved to Marion two years ago to be closer to her family.   1. Sorry to hear the sad news of your mother Mary’s passing. She and Ed were dear friends of ours for many years… They were both fine people. My husband John and I have many fond memories of our nights out to dinner or your parents. Their home was always open to many friends and acquaintances.

    We were so saddened to hear
    that Mary is gone.Mary and Ed
    were very dear friends for over 18 yrs.We shared many good times and dinners . Dear sweet Mary was always smiling and so pleasant. We will always have special memories
    of her and the joy she brought to others.We are so sorry for you loss.
