Irene Elizabeth (Sedore) Mullenix passed away July 7, 2014, at home after a long illness. Memorial Services: 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at Marion Christian Church, by Rev. Peter Mitchell. At her request there will be no visitation. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services. Irene was born on June 10, 1932, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Lowell and Susie Helen Sedore. She was united in marriage to James Mullenix on October 9, 1951. She is survived by her husband of 62 years James; son Stephen (Donna); and daughter Pamella (Jim) Spratte. She has five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Chester Sedore of Ottumwa, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, Marilyn Sedore; and twin grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Irene was a wonderful neighbor and friend for several years, she will be missed dearly but I know she is in a better place.
