Elizabeth Montgomery

Elizabeth 'Betty' Montgomery, 93 of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Englewood, Ohio passed away on November 16, 2009 at Village Ridge. A memorial service will be held at a later time in Englewood, Ohio. Local arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Marion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert 'Bob' Montgomery of 61 years; her sister, Helena Guisinger; her brother, Melvin Guisinger; and her parents, Alma (Kloeppel) Guisinger and Joseph Guisinger. Survivors include her son, Stephen (Diane) Montgomery of Marion, Iowa; grandsons, Tom (Laurie) Montgomery of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Todd (Renae) Montgomery of Van Meter, Iowa; and five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Gavin, Trae, Slade, and Cierra. Betty worked for many years in the polling places for elections in Dayton and Englewood, Ohio. She was also very active in PEO chapters AK and CK. She was always into crafts and needlepoint. Two of her passions were playing bridge and rooting for the Cincinnati Reds. She was able to be with her family in Iowa for the past year and delighted in the time spent with her youngest great-granddaughter, Cierra. Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Church of Christ in Dayton, Ohio or a charity of your choice.
