Bruce H. Meyers, 72, of Marion, died Friday, May 1, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. There will be no services. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his wife, Donna of Marion; sons, Mark, Bruce Jr. and John Meyers; daughters, Susan Varner, Cindy Clinton, and Dawn Meyers, all of Cedar Rapids; step-daughters, Karen Wendling of Marion, DeAnn Lipcamon of Cedar Rapids, and Judy Osterkamp of North Carolina; sister, Charlotte of Seattle, Washington; step-brother, Bob McCormick of Marion; 24 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. As a teenager he was a Golden Glove boxer and then requested to serve his country in the U.S. Navy as a cook aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. Bruce had a great love for German shepherds. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Well i just wanted to stop in and let you know that i miss you so much…i wish you were here to take care of mom and to see your grandkids…i had a baby boy…he was born 6 months after you passed away…you would of loved him hes a great little boy…he will know about you…both my boys will…chad already knows i talk to him about you all the time…well i love you and miss you…RIP DAD
