Corie Lynn Kinkead, 31, of Belle Plaine, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012. Memorial services: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, by Pastor Mike Andrews. Survivors include her sons, Tyler Hubbard and Cristian Kinkead; mother, Teresa (Barrie) Fett-Oxley of Belle Plaine; father, Dave Kinkead of Marion; sister, Jamie (Mike) Armstrong of Newhall; brother, Todd Oxley of Cedar Rapids; grandparents, Wayne and Ruth Duede of Cedar Rapids; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Corie was born April 20, 1980, in Cedar Rapids. She was a very loving mother, daughter, and sister, who enjoyed going to movies, restaurants, rock concerts, and the casino with her family. Corie was currently a student at Kirkwood and was focused on achieving her goals. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marjorie Kinkead, George Kinkead and Paul Mefferd. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

    Words can’t express how I am feeling right now. I am so completely stunned, and shocked. You’ve been such a wonderful sweet friend to me since middle school, and it was always nice running into you at places. I am so glad that you had the opportunity to meet both my son Logan, and fiancee Brooke. It’s never going to be same. You’re going to be deeply missed by me, your family,your kids, and all your friends. I love you Corie! :*( R.I.P.

  5. Dave and Family I am very very truly sorry for your loss I remember Corie when she came into Hy-Vee on Collins Road to get her groceries I will miss talking to her. Rest in Peace Corie I will miss you

  6. Our hearts go out to Tyler Hubbard who is a new Scout in Monticello. We are all so saddened by the loss of your Mom, Tyler. She would have been so proud to see you learning things about the outdoors and doing service for others. Many people will be thinking about you over the next few months and you can talk to Mason and the other friends you have made in the Troop. Be strong young man because your brother, Father and family need you to be. Hold the memories of your Mom with you, and know that she will always be a part of who you are. Take care.

  8. Our sympathies to Corie’s family. For a few years when she spent time at her grandmother’s condo, she spent a lot of time playing with my daughter Elizabeth and we have fond memories of those years.

  9. Teresa & Barrie from all of us at the Pharmacy please know you are in our thoughts. Corie was a delight to have come see us. It got to the point she didn’t even have to give me her name when she called in. I could just tell it was her. What a loss of such a young wonderful mother, daughter and friend. We are always just a phone call away if you need anything, even if it’s just a shoulder to lean on or an ear to vent to.

    Corie was my mother and still is. I will always love her. I remember when she would take me to adventure land. I will ad more story’s later today.
