Steven Joe King, 59, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, January 30, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2010, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 1-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his wife, Donna; two sons, Roy and Jeff; two daughters, Debi (Brandon) King, all of Cedar Rapids, and Julie (Brad) Gire of Hiawatha; three grandchildren, Trenton King, Matthew Gire, and Ryen Feickert; and several cousins. Steven was born July 4, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the son of William and Margaret (Bowermaster) King. He married Donna Hall on April 28, 1973, in Cedar Rapids. Steven worked for Lilly Printing for over 30 years. In his spare time, Steven enjoyed fishing, watching football, baseball and basketball. He was an avid Hawkeye and Cubs fan. Most of all he loved spending his time with his kids and grandkids. They meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, David. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

We had just seen Steven at Kathryn’s (Bowermaster Powers) funeral. What a shock to hear of his passing. He will always be in our memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
