Jessie Mae Gordon Clements

Jessie Mae (Asher) Gordon Clements, 81, of Marion and a longtime resident of Willow Gardens Care Center, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, following complications from extended illnesses. Memorial Services: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include her daughters, Shirley (Robert) McCann of Newark, Arkansas, Toni (Tom) Sotelo of Alpine, Wyoming; sons, David Gordon of Covington, Iowa, Steve Gordon of Denver, Colorado, and Rich Gordon of Marion; a daughter-in-law, Judy Gordon of Marion; her favorite step daughter, Pam Jacobs of Marion; a sister, Jean Kumaris of Milwaukie, Oregon; a brother, Lynn Asher of Welches, Oregon; seven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Jessie Asher; a brother, Jack Asher; and a daughter-in-law, Jan Gordon. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the A-Team at Willow Gardens and the staff at St Luke's Hospice, who were so wonderful to Jessie during her illnesses. A special thanks to granddaughter Leslie (Bob) Zynda of Guernsey, Wyoming for all her help planning the memorial.

    I remember picking of T.J Cinnabons when I swung through town and bringing them over for Rich and his Mom back around 1988.

  5. Has been many many years since I have seen Jesse, remember her smile when I would see her in Ole’s. Was kept up todate on how she was doing by Sherry. I am so sorry for your loss,take comfort in each other and know she is still with you
