Maralee Geiser, 48, was ushered very suddenly into the presence of her Savior on Monday, June 8, 2009, at her home. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Alliance Church, 1622 42nd St. NE, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include her mother, Mary Nell Geiser; her brother, Dan Geiser, his wife Debra; and her beloved nephew and godson, Tristan. She was preceded in death by her father, Euhel "Bud" Geiser. Maralee was born August 3, 1960, in Brazil, Indiana, to Bud and Mary Nell Geiser. She worked for Professional Home Health Services in Cedar Rapids as a registered nurse and was a member of Living Hope Wesleyan Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the Alliance Church Food Pantry.
Dear Mary Nell and the rest of Maralee’s family and friends,
My deepest sympathy to all of you!! I got a message from Dawn Sanden Cook at work today. She said she had some sad news for me but when I tried to call her there was no answer. There were only a couple of people who came to mind and Maralee was one of them. I googled her name and sadly I found her obituary. I can’t tell you how sorry and sad I am for your sudden loss. Despite the years passing and not keeping in touch, your family had a special place in my heart. Mary Nell, each Christmas I still place the mailbox Christmas ornament on our tree that contains the cutest note to us and our girls. You are very special! I pray that your faith, family, friends and fond memories will console you. I pray that the Lord fill you with the reassurance that someday we will all be reunited in heaven. Again my deepest sympathy to all of you!!
In Christ’s Love,
Nancy
Maralee was a beautifull person. We were internet friends thrue a site called Dogster because we both love dogs. We exchange emails and chat with each other. We send each other gifts for our dogs. I was planing to make a trip to meet her one day.
To her mom, brother and family, you have my deepest sympathy. I will never forget how Maralee was kind and generous.
We were saddened to hear the news from a fellow Dogster.com member that Maralee passed on. Although we did not know Maralee very well, we did exchange e-mails about our special needs pups. Our deepest sympathies and prayers are with Maralee’s family and her dogs, Harry and Mallory.
I just found out about Maralee’s sudden passing and would like to tell the family how sorry I am that she has left us.
I met Maralee on Dogster as she has Mallory and Hairy posted on there. We struck up a friendship that included our dogs.
She will be greatly miss by many.
